Marker training Package

30-40 minutes - $260 for one hour first lesson then two 30 minute follow up lessons

Weekly (or more or less often to suit you) training using a marker and positive reinforcement. We move through at your pace -  from the basic foundations of clicker training to more complex techniques.  4 lessons for this one great price.

 

Puppy kindergarten Package

30 minutes • $250 for one hour first lesson then two 30 minute follow up lessons

Basic puppy training for those first crucial weeks living with you.  Teach your dog basic manners so they can live confidently and happliy in your home. With or without clicker, over 4 weeks I can teach you the basics of training a dog to live with your family. Includes: Socialisation, management, basic training, toilet training and answers to all those tricky questions...

 

Puppy foundations Package

30 minutes •   $250 for four lessons

Basic dog training using a clicker or other marker teaching the next steps to a well behaved puppy. This course will teach you the basic techniques for training your dog.  Suitable for puppies of any age up to about 18 months this course covers foundations for teaching recalls, lead walking, waits and stays and no jumping up!

Private lessons

 

Lessons can be held at my Leamington location, either indoors or out - or I can come to you within Cambridge - a travel fee applies for out of town. 

 

Marker training for dog owners - one off private lesson - any level

30-40 minutes • $70 per lesson

One on one lessons for you and your dog to learn how to clicker train. See our offer for a special price on four lessons (which we recommend in order to get the most out of your lessons).

 

Scent lessons

45 minutes • $70

Training dogs to indicate on a scent for competition (NZ Dogs scent Cedarwood atlas or Lemongrass in this case) or just to give your pooch a job around the house.  If you want to compete at any of the various competitions or you just want your pet to have a new job to keep their brain active then this workshop is for you. Held at an indoor Leamington location.  Follow up lessons or classes held regularly thereafter - pay as you go. Puppy Training for Puppies with Personality

 

Does your dog need socialisation and basic manners training? Is your dog not your average dog who you think needs more help than a large class can offer? Working breeds such as Border Collies, Huntaways, Rottis, Huskies, Shepherds (German, Belgium, Dutch etc), Corgis and Bully breeds benefit from one on one targeted training for their specific needs rather than a general puppy manners class. This is also a great option for first time puppy owners. For all puppies 12-30 weeks old

More Services

 

Trainer-only sessons - Subject to Availability

$150 an hour

Trainer-only sessions that take the pressure off the owner so you dont have to do all the work yourself. Trainer only training for your dog is a great option for time-poor dog parents, or for dogs that require a more experienced handler to get them started on their journey to recovery. On the days you have booked your dog will be collected by me during the day and either be trained from your home or taken to an alternative training location. The first lesson will require your presence for introductions.  Highly recommended for cases of dogs with lead reactivity, fearful pups or any dog requiring counter conditioning, desensitization or rehabilitation.

 

Day Stay Mondays - coming soon

$35 a day plus add ons

Held only on Mondays - spots limited. Your dog will come and spend the day with me and my dogs and/or other day boarders to socialise and have fun.

Add on activities are:

1. A pack walk (for social butterfly doggos only - 30 minute walk around Leamington) $15
2. Food enrichment activities  (not just for Labs - price per yummy activity, Kongs, slow feeders and other suffable toys  $10)
3. Constructive destruction fun (for the bulldozer dogs and those who like to take things apart with their teeth - price per activity) $9

 

In addition to the above optional extras, social dogs will get play time with the other dogs and non social dogs will get either outside play-time with me or cuddles on the couch . Nap times during the day will be crated so dogs need to be crate trained to attend. Usual vaccinations are also required.

Overnight boarding 

$40 a day plus add ons

Spots limited. Your dog must be crate trained and attend a trial before their first visit to evaulate their suitablity to the home-stay boarding environment. Only cat friendly (or cat-neutral) dogs accepted.

 

Add on activities for Boarding are:

1. A pack walk (for social butterfly doggos only - 30 minute walk around Leamington) $15
2. Food enrichment activities  (stuffed kongs, slow feeders and other stuffable toys  $10)
3. Constructive destruction fun (for the bulldozer dogs and those who like to take things apart with their teeth - price per activity) $9

 

Registration and Refund Policy

Completion of a registration form is required for all classes, behavioural consultations and private lessons. Please message or email to book your lessons, behavioural consultation or classes and a form will be sent for you to fill in online. A deposit will be required to hold your place in a class, book a consult or confirm your lesson booking time and is non refundable as follows:

Classes

• If you cancel registration of a class at least 14 days prior to the class starting a full refund will be provided.

• If you need to cancel between two days and 14 days prior to class starting a refund will be provided, less a $30.00 administration fee.
• Cancellations less than 48 hours prior to class starting (i.e. also once classes have started) will receive no refund or transfers to another intake.

Lessons

• Lessons bought as a package or voucher must be used within 3 months of your first lesson unless other wise agreed

• If you run into a behavioural problem while completing lessons, a behavioural consult will need to be booked in addition to your 1:1 lesson package

• If you cancel a private lesson less than 24 hours before the time booked, that lesson will count toward your set booked or, if it is a one off, your deposit will be forfeited

• If you cancel a private lesson more than 24 hours before the lesson, the lesson can be rebooked for another time

Behavioural consults

• A deposit is required to book a consultation.
• Booking deposit is non-refundable as this covers administration, history gathering and preparation for the first in person consultation.
• The balance of payment must then be paid on or before the first lesson.
• Behavioural change takes time and effort and there are no quick fixes.
• Most behavioural change will require more than one session for you and/or the dog to learn to how to do the  exercises to change the behaviour.
